Guitar Lessons

I have been professionally teaching students the art of guitar for over 35 years. I received my first guitar when I was 12 years old, and have been perfecting the craft ever since. My students get access to a wide range of music styles while learning from me, including jazz, rock n roll, classical, bluegrass, folk, pop and more.

For me, the most fulfilling part of teaching music lessons are the relationships I build with my students. The joy and excitement that my students get from learning guitar makes every moment worth it. Every single one of my guitar sessions are tailored to you and your experience level. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced student, all lessons will fit your needs to the best of my ability. I have been able to excel children and adults who have never played a guitar before, as well as fine tune and hone in the skills of a seasoned well versed guitar player. Having graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Music, I'm able to keep learning interesting and ever changing with advanced lessons.

I am currently taking new students for acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele. All ages are welcome.

Introductory lessons will cover the fundamentals, while also determining your comfort level for how many lessons you are looking to take per month. If it feels like a good fit, I'd be more than happy to be your guitar teacher for years to come. Some of my current students have been with me for over 3 years. In addition to the long term clients, I have helped prepare current and past students (in their teens) for auditions, some of which included entrance auditions for music schools. 

I currently offer guitar lessons in my studio in Sunnyside, Queens NY. Virtual lessons are also available if you are unable to travel. Please connect with me via email or phone to further discuss if you'd like lessons in person, virtual and the times that best fit your schedule.

My lessons are available to all kids and adults interested in beginner guitar in nyc.  As well as specific styles, such as finger picking guitar, jazz, classical and more.
